“Who taught you to meditate?” a Sufi wise man was asked.
“A cat!” he replied without hesitation.
“A cat? What do you mean?”
“When I was young, just starting on the Path, I struggled to focus myself in meditation.
Then, one day, walking down the street, I saw a cat, motionless, imperturbable. It was crouched in front of a mouse’s hole.
And nothing around it distracted him.
The quality of its attention deeply struck me.
It almost seemed as if it wasn’t breathing. Something within me shifted.
For this reason, that cat became my meditation master.”
-Sufi Story-

To walk a stretch of the path together, with simplicity and lightness, with depth and attention. To be consciously together, in listening, in discovery, in sharing one’s energy. My role as a facilitator of yoga and meditation journeys (or programs/paths) stems from a deep desire to give back. To offer back to Life what I have received and continue to receive from Teachers (that cat in particular!), studies, readings, life experiences (which should have come first), stumbles, discoveries. No pretense of knowing anything, but the joy of sharing tools, perspectives, insights, skinned knees, practices, and empirical knowledge.

Yoga

[Online Group Classes] Mondays at 7:00 PM CET and Thursdays at 8:15 AM CET for our Hatha Flow group. Each session is 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Each month, a specific theme guides and inspires our practices, facilitating mindful observation and curious exploration of our vehicles: the physical, mental, and emotional.
We study the principles of alignment in asanas, flowing smoothly and creatively from one form to another. We connect with and develop unexplored potential in terms of strength and mobility, respecting our limits and experimenting with new points of balance. Through the joyful, vital expression of body and breath, we experience and refine our connection with our deepest, most essential, universal nature.
Open to all levels of practice.
Classes are held live on Zoom, recorded, and remain available for one week to enrolled participants.

Monthly membership (one class per week): 52 euro.
Monthly membership with two practices per week: 84 euro.
Single drop-in class: 15 euro.

Meditation

[Online Group Classes] Mondays at 8:15 AM CET and Tuesdays at 7:00 PM CET for our meditation group. Each session is 1 hour and 30 minutes.
To pause. To learn to pay attention. To patiently follow the breath, to welcome it in silence, to know and to know oneself. To be present with the swirling motions of our mind, with emotions, with the sensations that move through us. To inhabit the present moment with all it contains, beyond discursive thought. To re-cognize that everything is energy, to become familiar with the vibration that we are and that substantiates our thoughts, creating our experience. To re-cognize that the gaze, the attitude with which we relate to experience largely determines its quality. To connect with what in us endures, what is deep and essential, stable and harmonious, beyond the continuous oscillation of moods, beyond beliefs, education, beyond the clothes we wear, beyond the “I” that identifies us. And the rest, that’s for us to discover and experience

Monthly membership (one class per week): 52 euro.
Monthly membership with two practices per week: 84 euro.

Shinrin Yoku – Forest Bathing

Mindful Immersion Paths in Nature
A Forest Therapy Guide is a new professional role, essentially a meditation instructor who works in connection with nature. The meditations, rituals, and practices that a Forest Therapy Guide facilitates and transmits are inspired by Shinrin-Yoku, the Japanese art of nature immersion.

The term Shinrin-Yoku, meaning “forest bathing,” was coined in Japan in the 1980s by the director of the Japanese Forest Agency. It refers to consciously immersing oneself in nature with all five senses. Today, Shinrin-Yoku is increasingly recognized and valued as a preventive therapy, helping to reduce stress hormone concentrations in the body, strengthen the immune system, regulate blood pressure and heart rate, and improve cholesterol levels.
It’s an adventure of deep communion with nature. It can be practiced in many ways and at various levels, but the most traditional approach involves mindful walking and meditation (practiced using diverse techniques and forms) in the woods or other natural settings: city parks, sea voyages, desert treks… it can even be practiced on a balcony in front of a pot of geraniums!

We’ll harmonize with the energy, nature, and inhabitants of our host location. It’s a journey to return a little closer to ourselves, building stronger foundations and deeper roots through our relationship with the new, the different, and perhaps the unusual. And – perhaps – to expand our horizons a little and develop new awareness, together.
